Clare Rowan

Principal

Clare Rowan has been principal at Hawera Christian School since 2010. She was born and educated in Wanganui and completed her Teacher Training at Palmerston North Teachers College and then completed a B.ED, Higher Diploma of Teaching at Massey university. Clare has taken a wide range of teaching jobs including Kindergartens in London as well as teaching Secondary Science and English. The STA Emergency Staffing scheme brought her to many rural and small schools throughout the country, often on short notice and in interesting circumstances. Her interest include travel, crafts and literature.
