About the NZ Christian Proprietors Trust (NZCPT)

The NZ Christian Proprietors Trust (NZCPT) partners with local communities across New Zealand to expand the provision of quality state-integrated Christian schooling. Our mission is to provide education that is accessible, Christ-centered, and transformative - shaping students and staff who, a decade from now, will love God and His Word.

About the Role

We are seeking a Community of Practice Facilitator to strengthen and support the delivery of Special Character across our network of schools. This role is pivotal in equipping and empowering principals and Special Character leaders to embed Christian faith at the heart of their schools, and facilitating access to teaching resources and professional development relating to special character for staff. The Community of Practice Facilitator will:

  • Support the functioning of the Special Character Community of Practice (CoP), ensuring its strategic plan is delivered effectively.

  • Facilitate regular meetings (in-person and online) that foster collaboration, shared learning, and the exchange of best practice.

  • Provide principals and Special Character leads with resources, professional development opportunities, and mentoring support.

  • Hold responsibility for the development and maintenance of a repository of resources, case studies, and tools that help schools align culture, curriculum, and practices with NZCPT’s Special Character framework.

  • Strengthen engagement between schools, parents, and local Christian communities.

  • Offer spiritual leadership that models Christian values and supports the growth of faith across the network.

About You

We are looking for a leader with:

  • A deep and personal commitment to Christian faith, aligned with the values and theological position of NZCPT.

  • Strong facilitation and leadership skills, with experience guiding collaborative communities or professional networks.

  • Significant experience in Christian education and educational leadership, with the ability to integrate faith into teaching and learning.

  • The capacity to design and deliver projects that build capability and support long-term faith-based outcomes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with cultural sensitivity and the ability to work alongside diverse school communities.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to play a formative role in strengthening Christian education across New Zealand. You will help shape the faith and character of students and staff, contribute to a thriving network of schools, and ensure that the Special Character of Christian faith is lived out authentically in our communities.
