Glenn Davies

Principal

As the Foundation Principal, Glenn brings his considerable educational knowledge and expertise as we prepare for the opening of the new school at the beginning of the 2022 . He holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Waikato and is working towards his Doctoral thesis as time allows.

Glenn, his wife Marianne and two young men have had extensive education and management experience both in NZ and overseas schools for over 20 years. Glenn sees strong parallels between the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme that he has extensively used in International school settings, with the enquiry-learning approach adopted here in the implementation of the NZ Curriculum.

As committed Christians, Glenn and his family have relocated to Kerikeri and are finding a fellowship to call home as one of their first priorities, having been ‘locked down’ for 18 months in overseas settings due to Covid-19 restrictions. This is his first journey into the faith-based education sector, but provides a fresh opportunity for him and the Board to engage with the school community about what our education with a Special Character might look like into the future.

Building strong and enduring relationships is a priority for Glenn. As Harvest Christian School begins its journey to being a stand-alone, state-integrated school, we are both mindful of and grateful to the Kaikohe Christian School Board and community for the support that has been in place for many years at the Waimate North campus for many Kerikeri families whose children attend there. Glenn and the Board look forward to warm and frequent engagement as we negotiate our way through this establishment phase in the life of the school, eventually to be at its new home currently under development in Waipapa Road, Kerikeri.
